Curriculum planning
Adopt “childcentredness” as our core value. The curriculum is formulated according children’s physical and psychological developments, learning interests and needs.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
The activity-based approach is adopted. Stories, theme-based activities and project approach are used to complement each other. Through information collection, explorations, discussions, outdoor observations and extra-curricular activities.Children have their scope of knowledge broadened, the spirit of exploration, and self-directed learning fostered.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Children’s learning efficacy is recorded through ongoing observations and records. A profile on learning is kept for each child. Information about children’s development is collected from time to time for purpose of understanding their progress so appropriate counselling is provided.
